My encounter with the X-Files !

Wow, I can't believe it, but I met David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson from the X-Files. It was April 1995 and the X-Files were filming at my residence, in Vancouver, BC Canada. At the time, I had never seen the show before, so I never got totally excited. I was with a group of my deaf/ hard of hearing friends and we wanted to see what was going on. I had heard of the X- Files, KIND OF. Ok, actually we got a group pic with them on Thursday and then on Friday, I went home and watched it for the first time. On Monday, I went again to actually meet them. It was cool , David had been gone, sleeping I presume, we were told hang around and you will see him, so we did. We were yacking away (signing of course) when David stopped right beside me and watched us. Im like, who is this BABE? wow....He said "hi" and then I ended up interpreting for everyone. We talked about everything...from how to say his name ( Due cuv nee ) to teaching him signlanguage. He talked to us for a good hour , then Gillian came, she was sick--sore tummy :( she was good, and took some pics. etc.. Finally David said, " I have to go and work now..." nice to meet you " and I asked do you mind if we come and watch? and he was like "SURE!" We all got to "direct" a scene--saying action and cut! That was so cool! David said my name like 6 times..every time I was melting...sigh..he is way better looking in real life than on TV and he is such a sweetie too...oh by the way, they were filming "Our Town"- Chaco Chicken.

The second time I met him. They were filming even closer to the residence. I was able to help with set decorations, carrying a few chairs,etc...He remembered me! I was like YES! Man, did he sure smell good, (I hugged him), and he has a fishy handshake..giggles.. I was crazy, cause I had seen the show many times and had become a HUGE fan. My friend said my face was red the whole time, and I couldn't stop talking...non stop...my friends were bugging me for a long time about it! haha Silly me...we didn't talk long,(30 mins.)but, it sure was nice to see him again and have him remember me!--this one was "Pusher". PS: Gillian was in a very bad mood and Davids dog is SO CUTE! His name is Blue, because of the colour of his hair.

The third and last time that I saw the X-Files actors. I didn't get to meet Dave again, but I talked with Gillian Anderson. Finally, I caught her on a good day! She was crazy man, she swears, and is very energetic and hyper.. She is nice, I thought she was a cow, but nah, she's moody that's all, I think because of her baby, Piper. I was able to watch some of the scenes--"Tunguska"--or something like that...the one with the Alien oil that attacked the eyes. I was in Washington and Russia at the same time that was pretty cool! hee hee--they were using the gym. This time on the set, they let me fool around with the cameras, I asked questions, and was able to hang around for as long as I wanted! That was cool that's when I decided I wanted to go into television, and be a camera operator because the camera is the "eye" of production! Over the four years that I lived at that residence in Vancouver, they filmed 5 or 6 times. They used the pool, gym, caf, and the school.

Well that's my story..I wish the X-Files well!
